The natural world is Tim’s passion and he has spent most of his life inspiring others, young and old, with a love of nature. With a degree in Applied Biology, and experience running a field studies centre, working for the Field Studies Council, the Wiltshire Wildlife Trust and as a Countryside Ranger in Swindon, Tim has a wide knowledge of wildlife and conservation.  He founded Cultivating Learning and Nature to help more people connect with the wonders of the natural world around them. 

An environmentally focused team working to close the nutritional cycle in Hay-on-Wye to create healthier, more resilient growing spaces.  By hot composting community food waste, the team turns 'waste' into living soil that supports a thriving community of beneficial bacteria, fungi, micro-organisms, worms, and arthropods, all working together to break down nutrients and minerals into forms that plants can easily absorb.

Dan Ryan is an ecologist, educator, seasoned guide and Head of Nature at The Lost Gardens of Heligan.  He has a deep knowledge of the living land and is a self-declared ‘mushroom tickler.’

Danielle is a fungal researcher and MSc student interested in the ways fungi connect ecology, land use and community. She runs The Culturing Dish, a grassroots network for early-career mycologists in the UK, and has carried out research on rainforest fungi, bioluminescent species and ecological restoration.

Harry is an avid outdoorsman, nature photographer and lover of all things fungi. Seeking to create engagement between the arts and biological sciences Harry has worked to document research into fungi in Brazil’s Atlantic Rainforest, centring around the evolution of ophiocordyceps and bioluminescent fungi.
